Section-sewn binding  

A popular choice for hard-back and lay-flat books and often used for art and coffee table books – section-sewn binding requires particular skill and craftsmanship. Paper sections are folded and carefully sewn together, adhesive is then applied and the covers are then drawn on to form a durable and sturdy backbone. A wrap-around dust jacket provides a professional finishing touch. 

Saddle-stitched binding 

A cost-effective and versatile book-binding technique, saddle-stitching brings folded sheets together and drops them onto the saddle-like form on a moving binding line. Pages must be bound in multiples of four, with a maximum page count of approximately 96. Saddle-stitching is popular for publications such as booklets, magazines, newsletters and brochures.

Perfect binding 

Versatile and with a flawless finish – perfect binding has grown in popularity for books, brochures and more. Pages are glued in blocks before being secured to the spine using strong and flexible thermal glue. The cover is then wrapped around and the edges trimmed for a perfect, flush finish. With a printable spine and available in landscape or portrait, and with lithographic or digital printing – perfect binding offers a bespoke option for projects of any size.
