We’re delighted to share that Statex took home not one, but two wins at the industry-leading Printweek Awards 2025.

Our team took to the stage to accent the Innovation of the Year Award – Experiential for groundbreaking work for Durham University. And we also took home the Marketing Campaign of the Year Award for an interactive campaign, showcasing our personalised brand services.

Both accolades are testament to the unwavering dedication, hard work and creativity of each and every member of our team here at Statex.

Innovation of the Year Award: Experiential

Our second award for innovation. Last year, Statex took the top spot in the Brochure category, and this year we bowled over the judges with our Experiential submission – a groundbreaking lenticular image.

A long-standing client of ours, Durham University challenged the team at Statex to find an innovative solution to a visual challenge regarding an archaeology exhibition at Palace Green Library.

The university team wanted to visually highlight the difference between how Roman milestones look today and how they could have looked centuries ago, when they were first installed. Tasked to create an alternative to video, Statex set to work finding a print solution that would be low-VOC, tactile and hard-wearing, due to the nature of the exhibition.

What we came up with was a lenticular piece, artwork that changes as. you walk past it.  Our team was able to create a lenticular image without using the special substrate that would normally be used, which is generally made of a plastic lens. The finished result was an image of a Roman milestone that ages as you walk past it, seamlessly changing from its original appearance to how it looks today.

“Wow,” said one judge. “Who knew you could make lenticular sustainable. Really impressive results.”

Marketing Campaign of the Year Award

Our ‘Wow Box’ campaign won over the judges. An interactive marketing piece, it seamlessly integrates personalised print, packaging, digital engagement and promotional elements – creating and end-results that targets specific customers with the offer of a free, branded customer print procurement site.

We came up with this tailored marketing solution to entice target customers by demonstrating the value of a complimentary, cutting-edge print procurement service.

The campaigne was based around the idea of giving the customer ‘the easy life’ – removing the pressure, stress and complexity that surrounds print procurement for their own company.

The Wow Box features a personalised 10pp brochure containing unique log-in details to access a dedicated Statex website, designed to demonstrate how items can be branded to that particular customer.

Hand-delivered to 20 key target customers, the campaign has been a resounding success with 9 potential clients expressing an interest and planning on-site visits to our offices to find out more.

One judge commented: “Statex really showcased its capabilities while simultaneously engaging with clients and prospects.”
