Like so many of our clients, Statex have worked directly with Tor Coatings for many years on various projects to ensure the end products exceed their expectations whilst always remaining within budget.
This specific project required us to reproduce various paint samples using traditional litho print techniques across various stock weights and finishing types. Due to the tried and tested method using the Statex colour matching system we are able to measure the intensity and depth of paint produced and sold in B&Q stores and online by Tor Coatings. These colour ranges included gloss, matt, satin, textured and metallic paint types to name but a few, each of which had to be reproduced out of standard CMYK print.
Statex succeeded in doing so with close collaboration with the design and marketing team within Tor, to ensure that the reproduced colours matched as close as possible. In-depth colour measuring was used on press during the print process to ensure the printed sheets more than met the required Delta E standards throughout the print run. Our colour matching system was designed to ensure colour consistency from the initial pre-press stage through to the final print run with quality in mind at every stage of the process.
